He has developed a unique program called the Pediatric Cancer Immunotherapy Initiative (PCI squared) that focuses on using technologies to harness the power of the immune system to fight pediatric cancer. In conjunction with this program, Dr. Sayour has developed clinical trials focused on RNA nanoparticle vaccines for glioblastomas, which are fatal brain tumors. Within PCI squared, Dr. Sayour is mentoring other younger physician-scientists to harness this technology for other types of cancer, including T-cell leukemia/lymphoma, osteosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma.
